The Bovine is best improvised theater in Denver

The theater is another one of Denver's small classics. All in all I think it seats about 75 people. And there isn't any alcohol, but you can buy snacks in the back for your theater experience. If you like improv I recommend checking this place out. They do shows several days out of the week and tickets cost around $10 - $16 I think, depending on what you see. It's a great alternate date night out. Completely unscripted, unplanned and spontaneous, On the Spot, now in its eighth year at the theater, takes audience suggestions and improvises scenes, games and songs. With the moderator and four actors taking cues from spectators, no two shows are ever the same. Sometimes as many as 25 games are performed in one show. Currently, the Bovine Metropolis show runs on Fridays at 10:15 p.m. and on Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (for $10 and $16 respectively), but starting Friday, February 29, On the Spot will be playing at 10:15 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday evenings for $10 (or free to patrons who attend the sketch comedy show A Shot of Spring (with a twist) first). Ours was called "Phantom of the Roundabout" and featured classic songs such as "Smiling, Waving, Yielding, and Waiting" sung by Franco, a "German" gay man who came over from Europe to introduce Denver to the happiness that roundabouts can provide. It was hilarious. The theater is another one of Denver's small classics. All in all I think it seats about 75 people.
