Solera named after the process of aging wine and beer is a delightful and chic restaurant in Denver that opened in 2001. Famous for its rich flavored cuisine inspired by Spanish farmhouse food, Chef and Owner Goose Sorensen has created an out of the ordinary place for eating! The food, decor and wine selection makes Solera a restaurant you would love to visit often with friends and family.?

The great food, outstanding service

It has been difficult to put into words what my reaction is to Solera.  my review has been unfinished for quite a while now, only because I don't want to gush about how marvelous the food is - true art deserves more.

Overall I quite enjoyed the meal

I had the Scallops with Truffle Mac and Cheese. These two items were excellent. Bot prepared perfectly. My gf had the Paella. She said it was a bit salty but I thought it was good. The Thai style calamari was good.

Excellent experience, thanks to Solera!

I have never tasted anything like their Butterscotch bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream, just love it. For my first time there, my experience has been amazing. I went with a friend and I ordered Thai Style Calamari for starter and Sautéed Sea Scallops as entrée. While my friend Amy ordered Butterleaf Salad and Ahi Tuna   Everything was superb, delicious and mouth watering. The dessert Butterscotch bread pudding was the highlight of the evening though. Great service and staff. We had an excellent experience, thanks to Solera!

You have to visit this place

Dinner at their outdoor patio is just an awesome experience. Not to mention the food that will certainly appeal to your taste buds. I’m a regular at SOLERA, been trying out different dishes each time I visit. The place also boasts of a very good wine list and very fine selection of wines by the glass, trust me. Thai Style Calamari is definitely my favorite dish here while pan roasted chicken is also a wonderful entrée. You have to visit this place to understand what I mean. Give it a try.

Service was slow and less than desirable

I went to Solera to celebrate my birthday with husband. Had a special birthday dinner in mind which sadly turned out to be anything but special. We were totally disappointed and don’t remember when was the last time we ate such a bad meal. The service was slow and less than desirable. We ordered the Thai calamari followed by the Yelpers which was a big mistake.  There was too much breading, and sauce was very sweet and almost un-Thai. Believe me, it was not authentic. The Caesar salad was just as awful. The anchovy's had an awful taste and the skin was still on them. We wouldn’t want to try solera again as there are better choices available.

Elegant restaurant, Everything was delicious

Great service, comfy place- solera is certainly a fantastic find as far as my hubby is concerned. We found this amazing place last year on our 4th wedding anniversary. It is a somewhat low key, yet elegant restaurant, something we really appreciate. The service is good; Amanda the hostess is very nice and accommodating. We tried their Lump Crab & Lobster Cake and Spanish Style Caesar salad for starters, which was great, and then Amanda suggested we try Glazed Lamb T-Bone and Sautéed Sea Scallops- a good choice. For dessert we had Vanilla Créme Brulee. Everything was delicious. We had a great time and left happy on a special occasion. It has become a ritual for us; we celebrate at solera’s now. ?
