Reviews for "Tables"

One of the best restaurants in the Denver area

I love just about everything about Tables - the location (not in Cherry Creek, LoDo, LoHi, Highland, West Highland etc.). Instead Tables is located on a short commercial street in the area of South Park Hill. This neighborhood is charming and unassuming, just like Tables. On a Wednesday night the place is crowded but not uncomfortably so. We have drinks at the bar before our large group of fifteen (or so) works its way into the dining area (we take up over half the seating area in the room). As this is an "event" the menu is fixed which can sometimes be a problem. Not in this case - the menu is perfect, from appetizer to dessert. After bread, appetizer and salad my tummy is starting to feel full but I'm so glad that I left room for the main which is even better than everything we've already eaten so far. Dill-tarragon dusted halibut, potato-beet ragout, preserved lemon vinaigrette and crème fraiche is quite simply heaven on a plate. The halibut is moist and flaky with just the right amount of dill-tarragon seasoning. Both dill and tarragon can be overwhelming - I'm impressed that the flavors work so well with the fish. My non-fish loving friend can't believe how much fish she has eaten in one meal and how much she loves it. As for the food, it was hands down some of the best I've had in Denver. The lamb shank was absolutely incredible and the individual flavors of the dish (sweet potato mash, cinnamon) mixed perfectly. My wife had the scallops and loved them. It was very clear from the food that the chef pays a tremendous amount of attention to crafting a whole meal, not just a few flavors tossed together.

Very fine selection of wines by the glass

Dinner at their outdoor patio is just an awesome experience. Not to mention the food that will certainly appeal to your taste buds. I’m a regular at SOLERA, been trying out different dishes each time I visit. The place also boasts of a very good wine list and very fine selection of wines by the glass, trust me. Thai Style Calamari is definitely my favorite dish here while pan roasted chicken is also a wonderful entrée. You have to visit this place to understand what I mean. Give it a try.

Wow, it was just delicious!

The first thing that I noticed was that this place had a neighborhood feel to it. I loved the decoration on the walls and was amazed to see that all of the tables were different hence the name, I guess. My wife ordered a Roasted Beet Salad for us, which was presented superbly, in two separate plates with a combination of different colored beets, some delicious Gorgonzola, and greens. We ordered a Tuna Tartare as our next course. Wow, it was just delicious! Crispy wonton chips decorated the outside while creamy, tangy, spicy tartare with large chunks of fresh avocado just smoothered into the mouth. The sweetbreads we ordered were also moist, tender, and juicy. Best I’ve eaten so far. My wife and I chose two more dishes, the Gnocchi with fall harvest veggies and Roasted Duck with Confit Bread Pudding. I believe everything that is served here is out of the ordinary. Both the dishes were terrific and so was the Double Chocolate S'mores that we ordered for dessert. We were totally blown away by this place and are still in aw, few days later. Highly recommended!

Food was excellent and the atmosphere great

I had a dinner organized for a group of 12 people working for me. The people at Tables designed a menu that was very accommodating as I had a set budget. Food was excellent and the atmosphere great. All the reviews I received were admirable. Everyone was happy and complimented the food and service at this elegant place. Not to mention the parking that is easily available. I got Positive reviews from all. Thank you Tables!

They have added inventive dinner menu

My boyfriend and I have been going to Tables from the day it opened, when all it served was wonderful sandwiches. We loved the welcoming atmosphere. The place has changed and Amy and Dustin have added inventive dinner menu. The food although remains the same-terrific. The menu at Tables changes 4 times a year to match up with the seasons and is always inspiring and wonderful to eat. New wines are also regularly added to pair up with the menu as well. We always take out time to have a meal at this wonderful restaurant and can't wait to go back.

Ribeye that I ordered was ridiculous

The place is inconsistent and a bit pricey. Avoid the duck regardless of the menu if you ask me. Ribeye that I ordered was ridiculous. I would like to give this place another try someday but there is no possible reason to go there anytime sooner.
