Great place!....

This is a great bookstore! - - HUGE, great selection of books - and a really nice magazine section... Lots of different seating areas, pretty good little coffee shop - I definitely hang here...

My youngest is still a big fan of its children’s section

My kids grew up on this book store which is a Denver icon. You will find a huge selection of literary material here that is just great. My youngest is still a big fan of its children’s section. The staff is wonderful, and it feels like home whenever I visit the place. I love to read real books, and buy them at independent sellers. Tattered cover book store is the best independent store in Denver. We should all support it. I’ve bought many new and used books from here and they have always managed to get the title that I’ve requested.

My favorite book shopping spot for years

It’s been my favorite book shopping spot for years. There are lots of interesting things in stock like the Star Wars moleskin journals, crazy calendars, cook book collection, used books, children’s book collection and above all a delightful dining area where you get superb scones and espresso. I’ve also attended many lectures and book signings here at the store and believe me, it was worth my time.

Simply loved the new store in a refurbished theater

I was devastated when the Cherry Creek location moved to Colfax but I’m a sucker for historic buildings and simply loved the new store in a refurbished theater which looks a bit like cathedral. There's more space for now for contemplation of the books, lectures and sipping coffee if you are a ‘readaholic’ like me….give me coffee and a good book any day. The only setback to such wonderful place- no automatic discounts. It does however have a bargain bin that is worth checking out from time to time.

Unique recycled book collection

I love to eat out and I love to cook! Hence I often stop over at Tattered Cover on my lunch break to look for cooking books. I could spend hour here reading and going through not only cook books but also their terrific children’s section, gift cards and unique recycled book collection.

The store also has a pleasant little shop to grab a bite to eat from or grab a coffee. This place is so much better than the Barnes and Noble or Borders, hands down. Definitely a local icon.
